Carter Stewart

Associate

Carter has substantial experience representing clients in complex commercial litigation and class actions. His practice encompasses all aspects of civil litigation and includes assisting clients with internal investigations and compliance issues, drafting and arguing motions, conducting written and oral discovery, handling mediations and arbitrations, working with experts and negotiating settlements.

Carter is a Midwesterner at heart, having grown up in central Missouri. His upbringing contributed greatly to his notions of fairness and drove him to attend law school. He has travelled to Alaska, France, Turkey, Laos—and many places in between—where he enjoys exploring the outdoors, discovering new foods and immersing himself in local culture.

Did You Know

After college, Carter spent two years teaching 8th grade math in North Philadelphia.

He loves to travel, and although he can't wait to spend more time in Southeast Asia, his most memorable trip was the one he took to South Africa.

He's teaching himself to play acoustic fingerstyle guitar.

Carter clerked for Judge O’Scannlain of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

In law school, he served as the Managing Editor of the Cornell Law Review.

He loves strolling through the Lincoln Park Zoo and farmers' markets with his family.
